CAN'T TAKE REJECTION. meet irisiou, pronounced eye-ris-yew - most people call her iris because it's much easier to say. she's a fifteen year old sophomore, here by scholarship of the creative arts. if it wasn't for her artistic flair, her middle class family would have never been able to pay for her to attend the school. irisiou is a shy girl, and finds her inner confidence through singing, painting and dancing. she has never cared much for maths and science, because it is just words and numbers on paper, and there was nothing ever interesting for her to remember. despite her friendly, open nature, iris has always found it hard to make new friends, even though she loves meeting new people and learning about them. she fears rejection and bullies. her rejection causes her a strange depression that makes her isolate herself and try to hide from as many people as possible for a few days. eventually, she will return to her normal self. she does not easy brush off insults. she's a summer girl, and despises the winter months. she believes she has seasonal affective disorder - so she becomes extremely happy in the summer and extremely sad in the winter. however, this has not been medically confirmed. this petite blonde sophomore wishes to overcome her fears, and her main goals in life are to find love and become a famous singer in an alternative band. her biggest fears are spiders, rejection, making mistakes and wrists. you're probably not thinking 'what? wrists?' well, wrists make her skin crawl. she hates how you can see the veins and sometimes you can feel blood through them. she can not and will not let people touch her wrists. if you do, even by accident, she will probably start screaming and flapping her arms around. iris is shy but very friendly, so if you approach her she will certainly be kind to you. she will look after you if you need her, and she'll always try to make you feel the best you can, if you become friends with her, she'll slowly come to show her outgoing side when she feels comfortable. rejection is a scary part of irisiou's life, and bullies will like the extreme reaction from her, so if you have a not-so-kind character, they'll find it very easy to make iris a victim, however she will not argue or fight with you. she'll probably just cry and run away. irisiou has never once felt love, but that can definitely change. maybe some people will toy with her heart, and some may fall for her. i'm open to anything. she's english by the way! and one last random fact: if you don't like cats, she probably won't trust you.

Posey & Iris

Posey could be a friend to help pull Iris out of her shell, if she's willing to put up with Posey's antics and trouble making. I think the two of them could have fun together if given the chance. If you're more interested in finding conflict for her, I guess I could try to swing that too- though she doesn't really fit Posey's 'target' list. Whatever you prefer, and any ideas you have I'd love to hear.

Iris & Rowan
Besties for sure. I mean, c'mon they've got too much in common for them not to be best friends. They're on the dance team together, they're roommates... it's just too perfect. Rowan would be protective over Iris and wouldn't bug her about her shyness because Iris has her problems and Rowan has hers and that's that.

So...I think these two would get along quite well. They're both artistic, and Eli is a friendly little sweetheart who would probably just adore her. He's rather outgoing, so the two meeting would be pretty easy. Maybe he could draw her out of her shell, and she could get him to show his artistic side more? I think Eli would also have a pretty big crush on her, because she seems like a really sweet girl. Eli likes nice girls. (: Just let me know, and if you have any ideas, I'd like to hear them as well!

iris is definitely more for making friends than enemies, so of course she will be friends with posey. she'll even put up with her troublemaking, and might even get a few laughs out of it c: she likes having a variety in people who she's friends with, otherwise she'd get bored ^-^

best friends, definitely! rowan is so cute~ they'll be perfect roommates and there's nothing else i can really add or change about this c: if you want to get thread them meeting for the first time, then i'm totally up for it!

eli is adorable! they'll be awesome together, and i love the idea of a crush being involved. irisiou has never had a boyfriend or any crushes that she knows of so it would be a completely new experience to her. maybe when she figured it out, she'd like him back, but she'd always be his friend too. everything about him would make her shyness being to disappear c: i love the idea!

Branch is a senior - and far too old to be a senior at that, but that's a story in itself - but regardless, he and Iris would probably know each other very well. He's very much the arty type, scholarship kid, likes cats. They're both members of the art club, and I imagine they'd probably also cross each others' paths hiding working in the art classrooms some breaks/lunch hours etc. Despite the age gap, I think they'd likely be good friends.

I also have Tariq Arain and Lorelei Cabral. They're both seniors and don't have any clubs in common with Iris, so it's not immediately obvious how well they'd know each other. Tariq would most likely be friendly to Iris - but with Lorelei, it's a little more complicated. She's a ~mean girl~, but she tends to pick on her 'friends' more than people out of the blue. And she also has a way of picking up younger girls as kind of 'pet projects', fussing over them for a while, and then getting bored, dropping them and moving on. Iris' sensitive nature meeting Lorelei's spiky personality would kind of be a match made in hell, but it could be interesting.

this could be interesting because when people are nice to irisiou, she'll begin to trust them right away usually, but shes scared of popular people haha. if lorelei put on a good act, iris is more than likely to fall for it, and it'll be a huge knock to her confidence when she drops her, and she'd feel that horrible rejection that pretty much rules her life when it happens, which could spark something so.. not so yay, but yay! xD

I like this idea a lot! Right now he's involved in a plot where he's going to be dating a girl for a while, but she's going to cheat on him, and he's going to dump her. I was thinking maybe he and Iris become friends while he's dating the first girl and after he breaks up with her, he realizes that he likes Iris? I dunno; whatever you think would work best.
