getting out of Mayview was hard. because of the snow storm that totally blocked everyone in, people were not allowed to leave and all the cars were left abandoned in the parking lot. people weren't allowed to leave grounds because, lets face it. the roads still had snow and ice covering them and the schools staff was 'worried' about the students. most were sent home to their families, but some either had to stay on the grounds because of grades or inability to contact family. gwen was one of the lucky few that got to stay and didn't have to do schoolwork while everyone else was partying around the world. but it was pretty much hell in the school, there was nothing to do and no one to visit. well, except Chelsie. Chelsie had been a great friend of hers the last few years when Chelsie was in school. she was kind of like a mentor to Gwendy. she showed her the ropes of popularity and staying at top, successfully.
driving off of the grounds through a small unpopulated road that staff only used, gwendy made her way into the world. the stop lights still worked and people still drove around so its not like she was the lone wolf in this city. in her little VW Beatle Gwen had almost no chance of straight cruising, she did a lot of swerving and sliding. gladly, it wasn't just her doing it. almost every other car was too. The Smiths song Girl Afraid was blasting out of her jankity speakers, making the world seem a lot less quiet and a lot more fun. the song lasted until she got the the building Chelsie lived in. it wasn't huge, and it wasn't small. it was perfect party size. but she guessed that that was exactly why Chelsie lived there. she pulled her keys out of her ignition and slammed her car door shut after sliding out of her seat and onto the slick ground. hopefully Chelsie was up for a party. the doorbell gave off a high pitched whine, hopefully letting her know that Gwen was here. folding her arms and leaning against the wall next to the door she awaited the door to be opened.
