The lights were pulsing, the beat shaking the air around the packed bodies of the club. Everyone was packed tightly together as they moved in time to the music. Cohen was dancing with some random drunk girl that he hadn't bothered to learn the name of. Her friends were dancing nearby, keeping a close eye on them, as he danced closer before whispering in her ear that he was going to get a drink.
He tugged on her hand, leading her towards the bar where he ordered a round of shots for the girl and himself. He drank it quickly, sitting the shot glass back down on the bar. The swimmer smirked over at the girl and nodded his head back towards the dance floor. That was when she pointed towards the toilets, he rolled his eyes before telling her that he would wait on the dance floor for her. She smiled and left, leaving him alone to make his way back into the fray.
Cohen was passing a group when he bumped into someone, he turned towards them to apologise to her when he noticed who it was and a confused look came upon his face. "Annabel?" He asked, making sure that it was actually her because he knew this wasn't really her scene.

Anna was entirely blaming her friends for this one. It was not her idea to be here, but she went along with it - it was a fun night out, how could she say no? A night in a club, with older men flocking to the young beauty was not her idea of a good time. There was too much sweat, too many girls trying a little too hard, but then again... There wasn't much else to do in little Hadley, Michigan. Partying, the movies, going out to a club - it was pretty much the extent of things to do on these chilly winter nights. There was no warm beach to enjoy, it was too cold for a cozy bonfire, and she had little interest in bowling on her free nights. So, here she was, even if it wasn't her most preferable choice... It was fun every now and again, just not her top priority, though it certainly beat staying in. Staying in, lately, typically meant wallowing in a bit of self-pity. While the girl should be over the entire situation with Jasper by now, she wasn't, not quite yet, though she desperately wanted to move on. It just seemed like he was there, egging her on and making her mad, making her think of him, making her care every time he started to slip her mind. Dancing with her friends, she was easily distracted. She had a little buzz going on, nothing too much and nothing too sloppy. Her thoughts were not settled in unpleasant places. Instead, her mind was clear, for the most part, as her body moved involuntarily along to the heavy beats of the club music. Then, someone bumped into her, causing her to take in whoever it was she had collided with, her face brightening in recognition. "Cohen! Hey!" she beamed, glancing back at her friends momentarily before taking a step closer to Cohen. NOTES: ta-daaaaa <3 OUTFIT: thiiiis. bc anna's odd i guess. TAGGED: ariel with cohen

Cohen wasn't exactly sure why Annabel was at the club, knowing that it wasn't really somewhere she liked to be, with all the sweaty bodies cramped in together and the try hard girls with their tight dresses and krumping. He smirked when she noticed him though and took a step towards him.
Simply because he figured it would annoy her, plus he just wanted to, he reached out, pulling her into a half hug, using just one of his muscled arms to pull her close to his chest before smiling over at her friends to give them a nod as a greeting.
Cohen grinned down her though now that she was close enough that they didn't have to yell quite as loud to hear each other. "What are you doing out here, missy?" He asked, not able to hold back his smirk as he looked down at her, happy that he'd run into her and completely forgetting about the girl he was supposed to be meeting on the dance floor.

Returning the hug, she wasn't put off by the contact. Typically, Anna was a rather affectionate and physical person - she liked hugs, cuddling, the little things. The closer proximity helped them converse, because now she didn't need to yell and didn't need to struggle as much to hear him. "Some friends of mine wanted a night out," she told him. Not that anything in Hadley was really 'out', or all that exciting. Most of the people in the club were townies, people who didn't go off to college and are instead lurking about, students at the local university or community colleges, or older people trying to relive the years of their youth. "So, you know, living it up. As I do," she laughed. Anna could enjoy a party as much as the next person, and possibly more, it was just this sort of thing that seemed to be a little much. Maybe it was because she was single, or still a little on the young side for a club. "And what are you doing here?" Not that she was surprised at his presence, she simply wanted to turn the question back around on him. "Hey, do you want to just go by the bar? Rather than just.. stand here like this," she laughed again, her hand reaching out to gently rest on his arm as she leaned in closer. NOTES: ta-daaaaa <3 OUTFIT: thiiiis. bc anna's odd i guess. Cohen wasn't overly surprised when she returned his hug, he was more interested by the way she didn't seem to care that he was all sweaty, but he mentally shrugged it off, smiling a goofy smile down at her instead.
He gave a nod and looked over at them, a smile still on his face as he gave them a small wave. he didn't recognise them even though he had the vague feeling that he'd probably met them before. It didn't stop him from giving them a small wave anyway. Cohen chuckled, shaking his head slightly when he heard the next thing she said. he looked down at her again, his smirk coming back. "You know, the usual." He smirked, his eyes glancing over to the group of girls he'd been dancing with earlier, their friend just joining them as she looked around, no doubt looking for him. He ducked his head slightly, looking back at Annabel. "You know what? That sounds perfect." He laughed, moving his arm and picking up her hand in his as he turned and started making his way back to the bar, leading Anna through the crowd.
