Audrey & Laurel Opposites attract? I feel like these two would have an odd, but workable friendship. They are both in dance and NHS, and Laurel was likely one of the first people she met when she came to Mayview. I feel like they would connect with each other on an intellectual level, make snide comments towards one another, get on each others nerves, but be there when the other needed it. Frederick & Laurel Laurel would likely have him for AP English, and for Lit sophomore year. Aaron & Laurel I feel like these two wouldn't really know much about each other, but would likely get along pretty well.

Audrey & Laurel I adore unlikely friendships--Yes, dance definitely brings girls closer together, and even though they have differing personalities, they both are experiencing their own struggles that can bring them closer together. Clearly there would be conflict over their respective life decisions, but I seriously think this is pretty precious (strong female friendships ftw)
Do you have any threading ideas?? c:
Frederick & Laurel Definitely, and if she's a hard-worker & ambitious academically, these two could enjoy some intellectual banter.
Aaron & Laurel Understood! Different circles, it makes sense that they wouldn't interact.

Post by TARIQ IBRAHIM ARAIN on Mar 20, 2013 17:13:02 GMT -5
MR FAUST - I have no idea if Lorelei, Branch or Rafa would be in any of his classes, but Tariq would. English is not necessarily his favourite, but it's something he puts a lot of effort into because it's useful and he'd definitely be maintaining a high grade in it. His essays would be articulate and logically sound, but I'm sure Frederick would perceive the lack of heart in them. There's a reason why he isn't in the writing or poetry clubs. Basically, Tariq is interested in literary theory, but he doesn't like ~*~feelings~*~ or too much ambiguity and that holds him back in English. He doesn't connect with the text, just wants to pull it apart under the microscope. I'm not sure how well they'd get along.
AARON I don't know because all of my characters are seniors (I don't know how that happened!!) but Aaron is the cutest I love him. Lorelei would probably bully him with malicious intent, Rafa would probably pick on him ~~gently and ~~benevolently - and I don't know about Tariq or Branch. He and Branch might have sat together at lunch a few times in mutual misery.
DREW I think even Lorelei might be a little intimidated by him -- and that's saying something. Rafa certainly would be. Both would undoubtedly be friends with him. Let me know what he'd think of either/both of them and we'll work this out in more detail.

Drew Yes, being the popular kids, they would all definitely be friends. I don't think Drew would think much of Rafa. Hiss opinions on him would probably be limited to sexual attraction and not much else... Rafa doesn't really fit the mold of the type of people Drew enjoys spending time with--He's just too nice. Lorelei, on the other hand, I could see as both a close friend and a budding nemesis; Drew loves malevolent beauties, but above that, he loves his seat on the throne... Lorelei threatens that.
Frederick Yeah, he teaches pretty advanced English courses, so Tariq (and maybe Branch?) are the only two I imagine in his classes. If he senses Tariq's lack of heart in relationship to writing, I can't really see him doing much about it; perhaps I could imagine him arbitrarily giving Tariq low marks until he's forced to confront Frederick about it... And then there'd be some super cheesy "put your soul into it, son!" sort of deal iunnoo
Aaron Yes, yes, yesss. I think Aaron would attempt to force Branch to embrace his place as a geek, and ultimately use it to his advantage? Aaron is a proud nerd, and he'd probably be upset that lil Branch is so down in the dumps about it.
