. tell the world i'm coming home . The alarm clock buzzed off at seven am causing a low groan to escape Liam's lips. His hand reached out as he slammed his alarm clock off letting a few curse words escape his lips. Late nights and early mornings seemed to be a daily routine for the young inspiring musician. It was very unfortunate that he couldn't just pay his bills with the gigs he did at a local bar every other night. He knew some people that only did gigs for a living but the places they stayed at were not at all safe. He could only imagine what his parents would do if they came to visit him in a rundown hole. Considering his parents were of the more wealthy class, that often tried to coax him into allowing them to pay for his rent in a better apartment. Even if the Teuiski's had been, his parents since he was a newborn baby it didn't always make him feel better about splurging off all their earnings. He knew they meant well but they had already done so much for him growing up that now after graduation it was time for him to live up to his goals without their help. He had a fever reeling that made him want to be more independent in life and that was what he was trying to do. Of course, he still talked to his siblings, and he still contacted his parents because he did after all cherish them and they were his family. It was just honestly that time in his life he needed to depart them a little. Just a little was the keyword because he was still very protective of his siblings to the point he knew to keep an eye out on them every now and then. A huge reason he stayed right here in Hadley was for them.
He slowly crawled himself out of bed, as he was quick to change into a white t-shirt and a faded out pair of blue jeans. A light yawn escaped his lips as he ran a hand through his hair giving it a messed up look. His lifestyle was a little out of the norm considering most often he got home around two am after a night out at clubs, parties, and bars and then proceeded to be up at seven am to be to work at eight. Work most often getting out around four and those lucky days two or three pm he would then proceed home to take a shower for the night he had planned for him ahead. It was a life filled with a lack of sleep but it was the life he needed to live right now in hopes of gaining the real life he had wanted. That life being of a man with his band on the road touring, girls screaming his name, and just playing music for a living. He didn't know if he would ever be discovered here in Hadley but he was trying, and maybe when his siblings were all graduated and on their own he just might take off to California. That was so far off from now though so he did what he had to do to keep a living without going to school. He also had the small hopes that his youtube videos would someday be noticed. He did after all already have a small fan base, it just wasn't big enough to consider himself famous.
A short drive to the Music Shop he parked his old beat up car and unlocked the building, switching the sign to open. A forced smile appeared on his lips as he let out a low sigh, ruffling up his hair again, "And, so another day begins" he breathed out, wondering over to the register area to begin his day, and the daily paperwork, which he had been doing for the past two years. Even as a senior in Hadley, except now he worked here a lot more as a manager, which most certainly gave his paycheck a prettier look. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- .

She’d gotten a surprisingly early start that morning waking up at five am to go running getting in a little bit of extra practice for a track meet that she had coming up. With Teagan being so clumsy and have low self-esteem about it- and basically everything else about her- she had a tendency to throw herself into trying to perfect the things that she was moderately good at. She’d run until it felt like battery acid had been seething through her veins and her heart thundered in her chest like a violent, destructive storm. The cool atmosphere hadn’t helped her in the least, it stinging her lungs with its bitter temperature and leaving Teagan sucking air but not seeming to be able to gain any oxygen from it. When she’d finally winded down from that and taken a hot shower she left the dorm with intentions of heading down to her favorite café for a spot of breakfast.
Teagan didn’t mind being alone most of the time. Solitude offered a chance for self-reflection, which most people would have said was a dangerous thing because no one really wanted to face who they really were. It was why solitary confinement in prisons tended to be such a punishment for the inmates. When you were left in a position that your mind could wander it was a scary thing for most. Teagan on the other hand rather liked it. There was usually nothing that she thought about that could make her feel all that bad about herself that she didn’t already deal with every other moment of her days. Except, in this case, sitting in the same café that she and Arthur had not too long ago. That was something that Teagan was afraid to contemplate. She knew how she felt about him and also how…forbidden that was.
She found her gaze averting out the window hoping to have something outside grasping her attention when she saw a familiar car chugging its way down the road. Liam. Finishing up her breakfast and taking care of the bill Teagan made her way down the road, on foot, to the music shop her brother worked at. It had been a good five-ten minutes since he made it in the door so that when Teagan ventured in he was busy with paper work of some type. Inventory lists maybe? Which reminded her that she had asked him to see if he could get something in for her. Visiting her brother on a whim wasn’t too unusual for Teagan but with her thoughts that she had hoped to leave back in the café, she was feeling a little bit guilty and so was slightly flustered seeing her brother and stuttered out a remark to accompany her presence. ”Hey, did that Ramones album I asked for come in yet?” Stepping further into the store she shrugged out of her coat and placed it on a crate of vinyl records, which very well could have contained what she was looking for, before moving over to where Liam was.

. tell the world i'm coming home . Working here was not even close to his dream. He had been here the past two years and he knew if he were stuck working here for all eternity he would be miserable. This was why his music career needed to kick in. This was why he allowed himself to be sleep deprived daily so he was not stuck working in such an unthrilling job. It was not as if it was the world's worse job, he could be flipping burgers at McDonalds. The place also had some small perks, one of those being the music. Being an employee, he did get discounts on everything inside the store. The store being exactly where he loved to shop, but not exactly work. Therefore, that was always a bonus about the place. This and when things got too dreadful at work he was able to turn on some tunes of his selection, or go off and play guitar. Those were always the plus sides. Except when it came to a man like Liam Teuiski he much preferred to be outside running around town, being at a bar, or being somewhere that he could get himself noticed. At work it was a very slim chance he was going to get his name known, to become famous you needed to be active and working put a small damper in this solution to fame.
He rubbed his head, twisting the pen inside his golden locks when he heard the door ding open. He looked up from the paper as a grin appeared on his face. It was always a delight to see any of his siblings, because someone coming into work he knew tended to make the working days go by much smoother. Then a silly grin crossed his face, as he shook his head at her. "Really? Is this the only reason you came in here? To use your dear old bro?" he questioned her jokingly. He set his pen down as he reached under the counter grabbing out what she had asked him to order. By rights, he was not allowed to hold things for customers. The store was very keen on a first come first basis rule. Except this was one rule Liam often would break. He would do anything to put a smile on his sisters and brother's face. If something as small as getting a music selection choice for them would do it, he would most certainly do everything in his power to grant their wishes. Teagan being one of those siblings he could talk hours on end with about music, her being just as talented as him however her only flaw was she wasn't as confident in her abilities as he was in his. This little known fact always made him try to encourage her to break out of her shell.
He walked around the counter and over to her, handing her the album. "I took it upon myself to hide it so nobody else could get their grimy paws a hold of it," he said giving her a soft smile, before he stuffed his hands into his pockets. "You're welcome," he smirked at her, not even giving her the chance to thank him rather she would have or not. His cockiness appearing in a slight full blown matter but he meant well, he always did. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- .

Teagan knew after six years of being around Liam when he was joking and when he was really hurt over something. It was just the same, as he knew she never just came to get something from him. Being around Liam was more about just enjoying his presence. She had really grown to like him over the years and that sibling bound that, at first, Teagan hadn’t been too sure would happen. When Teagan had first been adopted into the family it hadn’t been like Margaret and Liam who were adopted at birth- Teagan had been ten years old at the time. Coming into the family late to the party Teagan had worried that she wouldn’t be accepted, that maybe the others wouldn’t want someone new coming in and dividing the attention even more. That hadn’t been the case though they were all pretty close to one another, maybe because they all knew that they were, at one point in time, adopted themselves.
Teagan was closest to Liam though and always had been. He had taken on that leadership role even when the others weren’t too keen about it. They had their love of music in common as well and that had brought them even closer together. She was Liam’s biggest fan and always would be. Whenever she had been feeling down she used to venture into Liam’s room and ask him to sing to her. Teagan wasn’t sure if her ever realized that it wasn’t just on a whim and she had truly needed the comfort that his voice brought her, but when high school had started up and Liam lived in the dorms and then during his junior year she was just coming into her freshman year. Despite Teagan being the lowest level of the social totem pole she still understood that his reputation couldn’t take his baby sister going to his dorm room to have him sing to her like she was still a child, plus there was the room mate to take into consideration who probably would have appreciated it even less than Liam when she knocked on the door at three am, so Teagan had stopped that habit a long time ago. She missed it though. Giving her head a shake Liam knew better than to really believe she was using him.
Gingerly taking the record out of his hands Teagan looked it over with a vibrant smile gracing her lips studying the cover art for a few moments before she was snapped out of her daze of appreciation by his comment. ”Oh, thank you.” Setting it aside on the counter Teagan threw her arms around his neck giving him a tight hug. He could be as cocky as he pleased and at the moment he well was entitled to it. He wasn’t technically supposed to squirrel items away showing favoritism, but Teagan couldn’t say that she necessarily minded the unfair advantage that she had. And really, if someone was really that eager to get it they could always order it offline. She didn’t like doing that though because it took away from the local economy, which Teagan liked to support and help flourish. It was why she liked that locally owned café rather than the franchise options around. ”You’re playing tonight, right?”

. tell the world i'm coming home . His life had always been that of a Teuiski. Considering his mother died giving labor to the young newborn baby Liam had never even known any other life than the one he had with the Teuiski's. He never felt as if he was missing out on anything. His adopted family had filled him in on his adoption as soon as he understood what adoption was. His mother explained to him that even if she did not have him in her womb it had not mattered, because she had wanted him with her heart. That it does not matter where a child comes from because a mother's love is forever rather its blood or not. He always firmly believed this theory for the Teuiski's did many things for the young kid. It wasn't even as if Liam had a real desire to know much about his real parents. All he knew was two things about his mother and that was her name and she died at childbirth. As for his father, he had no desire to even learn his name. A man that walks out on a pregnant woman was not alright in his books and his adoptive father was more of a man then his blood father, that was all that mattered.
He gave Teagan a soft smile, as he ran his hands lightly over Cd's in a display case. He remembered her arrival as if it was only yesterday. The young girl was just ten years old and unlike him and a few others was not brought into the Teuiski's home upon birth. He could understand why the young girl had been so nervous upon entering into the home. He knew of other adopted children, even some of the former Teuiski children that feared they would not be accepted. Teuiski children all seemed to be close knit and they never knew if they would fit in. Most generally every child found someone inside the home they connected with . For Liam he often tried to connect with anyone rather they were there for life, or for a short time. With Teagan it was no different except he did have a very soft spot for her because of their passion for music, and she had always been one of his biggest fans, a number one supporter.
Upon her arrival, he just gave her a bright grin, and welcomed her into the home. He sensed her hesitance about him, and the whole family at first but he did his best to make her feel welcomed. And over the past six years he knew he had done a steady job, with her coming to him for music, or just long talks...they had a sibling bond that nothing could easily tear apart. She was his family and he had felt that way since the moment she was introduced. Once you became a part of his Teuski family, you were in it for life. "Yeah, I play a few sets." he told her with a grin. "You can stop by if ya want...around seven. I'm playing until eleven but you shouldn't be out that late..." his protective side coming out ever so slightly. Except knowing Liam he wouldn't let her walk home alone no matter the time, he'd more than likely take a quick break and walk her home himself. Seemed to be a habit he possessed and she'd know it even if she left before eleven. Just that protective Liam nature taking over him oh so well... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- .

There wasn’t any doubt that Teagan would be there to hear Liam play. She was his biggest fan and supporter so never missed a gig if she could help it, which given she wasn’t someone that had a full social calendar that was fairly easy for her to do. Staying available had never really been a problem for Teagan. She had her obligations just like anyone else like track meets, choir, and the academic decathlon but other than that she was pretty free and clear to do as she pleased. A lot of her time was spent in a bookshop or library doing her homework the hard way rather than looking up the information on a computer. It was a quirk of hers and she did have a deep love of reading and also of knowledge, which, what better way to learn than from the pages of books. That wasn’t to say that personal experience wasn’t good too.
Her excitement shifted to playfulness shaking her head at his stipulation. ’Even Cinderella got until midnight.” Teagan was used to Liam being protective of her like this though. She was mostly okay with it, even was fond of it because it was nice knowing that someone cared about you no matter who you were. That was a human necessity even, the thing that people lived for. Having Liam as a brother- all the Teuiskis actually- was a blessing to Teagan. She loved them all dearly even if some were difficult to get along with on occasion. It was highly unlikely that Liam would make her leave before he was finished, and certainly not by herself regardless of the time. Teagan walked around town on her own all the time but that probably wasn’t anything that Liam liked to think about, willfully ignoring it for his own peace of mind.
”I’ll stick around and help you guys break down the equipment and get it loaded.” She decided hoping that Liam wouldn’t turn her down and stick to his guns about leaving before eleven. Being out that late usually only happened when he was playing, it wasn’t like Teagan was the sort of girl to go out to parties or be hanging around out that late for any other reason than to watch him play so it seemed fair enough to her that she could have these exceptions. Looking up at him from underneath her eyelashes and flashing a bright, hopeful smile she was hitting him with them puppy dog eyes. ”Please Liam! Pretty please let me stay until it’s over.” Her tone was saturated in sweet. Sinking her teeth into her lower lip she felt the anticipation of his answer growing. While Teagan shouldn’t have needed his approval she still wanted it.

. tell the world i'm coming home . It was a funny thing how people grew up before your very eyes. As Liam watched his siblings grow he often wondered to himself where the time had gone. It seemed just yesterday everyone was in elementary school and had less worries in the world. When Liam would really just sit back and think about how people aged it puzzled him. Because here he was thinking, his siblings among other people were growing up so fast. Yet, it hardly ever crossed his mind that others were thinking the same thing about him. It always seemed slightly different to him as he was growing up maybe because it just seemed so natural and it was no big deal. A person just grows into themselves over time. And, even though when he looks at his siblings still as young children, still wondering where the time has gone...he sometimes stops and realizes his parents probably feel the same way about him. He was once a child as well. It still didn't stop the man from viewing the younger Teuiski siblings as children every so often. To him Teagan would always be a little girl he needed to watch over.
The shorter girl standing before him however was not a little girl anymore. She was a junior and growing into a very amazing young adult. He knew sometimes he was much too protective of the girl when he shouldn't even feel the need. The girl had a good head on her shoulders and tended to stay out of trouble. She wasn't out drinking every night like many students he knew in his years at Mayview she was rather low-key which was a good thing for Liam, or he'd be feeling like he was in hell, having to watch her every move. A light laugh escaped his lips, as he shook his head at her, "And you are not Cinderella," he shook his head at her, smiling. Before adding in, "You don't need a Prince Charming...nope. You just need music." he patted her lightly on the arm. If only he could keep this statement true. If only he never had to worry about his sister and men, and his sister getting a broken heart. He knew the moment any man tried to hurt her there would be hell to pay...he was not looking forward to the day a guy came along...not even a little.
A small sigh escaped his lips as he listened to his sister's pleads. It had always been a more difficult matter to turn the girl down. She really had him wrapped around her pinky finger when it came to certain matters. How could he say no to her? His hand racked up into his golden locks before letting out a groan, and rolling his eyes, "Fine. But, I'm walking you home after..." he told her sternly, not that he needed to be stern. Teagan already got her way and he assumed she already knew him walking her home was part of the package deal as it always was. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- .

Teagan had never hit that pubescent, boy crazy phase when the rest of her peers had seemed to. At first she had suspected that she was simply a late bloomer and her time would come to be so swept up in crushes, brief romances, and the drama of teenage affections eventually but as she grew older that had never struck her. It wasn’t that she didn’t have her share of crushes on people it was merely that Teagan didn’t treat it the same as other girls might have. She was very level headed about it, either realistic about them or self-deprecating to the point that she didn’t even bother making any passes to gain her crushes attention. While that might have been unfortunate for her, it seemed to be a good thing for Liam. It was one less thing that he needed to be protective over. Teagan had been pretty solitary when it came to matters of the heart but would she always been?
Music had been a staple in her life that she had quietly indulged in for years now with the encouragement of her brother. Maybe he was right. Being young wasn’t a race to finish first- that seemed like an awful waste to her. She wanted to savor her childhood while she still could. Did that make her wise beyond her years or immature? Teagan wasn’t sure but didn’t think it really made a difference because when it came down to it she was still going to just be herself, for good or for bad. That look on his face was a familiar one. Within a fraction of a second Teagan recognized the early signs of Liam cracking ready to give in to her appeals. He was kind of a sucker for her when it came to certain things. Liam knew how much she wanted to be there supporting him so even though he wasn’t too keen on letting her stay out too late he wouldn’t really make her good home before the end of the show.
A smile brightened her lips as she literally lunged at him attacking Liam with a tight hug. ”Thank you!” Squeezing him tight Teagan would sway slightly reveling in the moment for a little bit longer before releasing her death grip on him and giving him his space back. ”Of course. You can see me straight to the door and everything.” The compromise was typical between them. She knew that he would want to make sure she got there safe and was tucked away inside before he was satisfied. Teagan accepted that. Thinking back to what he had said about Prince Charming and resituating herself on the edge of the counter Teagan crossed her legs Indian style, propped her elbows on her knees and rested her chin in upturned palms. ”What if I want a Prince Charming?” Teagan voiced, musing over the idea of it. Her mind was focused back on Mr. Pivet, romantic notions filling her thoughts. If she was going to fantasize she might as well go with the most unlikely scenario possible, right?

. tell the world i'm coming home . Music was his life. Since he was a baby, he always moved to the music, it perked his ears and would put a joyous smile on the Teuiski baby boy. Video recordings were stored away below in the basement in his family’s home of the little man clapping his hands to the beat, and bobbing his head. As the years progressed his love for music never faltered, and when he was just four years old he was already asking for music related equipment. The boy never went without as his family supported his goal in life to become a musician. He would sing in his room, bang on the drums, and play the guitar, videos were also tucked away in storage of him screaming on the drums, banging the pallets with his drumstick, and just being a kid. As he grew older into his teenage years his favorite instrument was the guitar, he loved the rhythm, he loved how he could play it to sound perfect with his voice, that voice he seemed to have inherited from some blood-related family member. This was assumed because the boy never took singing lesson, or any type of lessons...he seemed to be born with the natural musician charm.
His arms wrapped around his sister in a warm embrace, knowing very well she had him wrapped around his finger. The moment the question was asked if she could stay out late, even with hesitation from him the answer was going to be a yes. Liam still had yet to figure out the math behind solving an equation of how to say no to the girl, the final solution always involved a yes. He received a happy medium of being able to protect her with a walk home but that was always expected. The reward for allowing her to stay out and watch his rehearsals among various other items she asked of him resulted in moments like these. Moments that brought a smile upon her face, and made him forget giving in, and just be satisfied that he brought a smile on her face, and still kept her happy with her older bro. "Your welcome," he rolled his eyes lightly, as they parted, a visible smile still appeared on his face though. It was clear he wasn't really irritated with the younger girl, and even if a part of him sometimes was, it never lasted for long.
Walking back around the counter he bent down searching through some piles as he heard her mention wanting a Prince Charming. A scuff escaped his lips as he popped back up placing the papers on the counter, shaking his head at her. "No such thing as a Prince Charming," he told her, staring down at his papers. Way to be a Debbie downer but it was pretty damn true, girls that looked for perfect men would just be found with heartbreak, and nothing more. There were good men out there this Liam knew, but everyone had their flaws, and everyone broke hearts once in a while. Hell, Liam was considered a decent bloke but he had those few hearts he broke back in school, and he had his heart broke a few times. This was why music was what he often considered his first true love. He wanted to shield his sister from any and all heartache but he knew someday he couldn't be her protector forever. Soon he was placing his hand on the counter giving her a serious look, "There’s good men in the world but no Prince Charmings. We all come with our own little flaws, and were bound to break hearts even if we never mean to place harm on others," he glanced over to the side of the wall before looking back at her, "And, because heartbreak comes with finding your own flawed Prince Charming, I've always found it best to stick to music. I don't want to go breaking any men’s bones because he hurt my baby sister," he told her honestly, he didn't know if he'd ever break their bones, but it won't be pretty, even if the man never meant any harm. Sometimes he had a temper...and when any harm was done to his siblings, it came out in full force. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- .

Teagan might not have had much to go off of when it came to matters of the heart but she wasn’t completely lost in translation. Whenever she thought about Arthur she always tried not to have any feelings but it wasn’t something that you could necessarily fight back and to be honest, Teagan didn’t want to. She knew that it was silly of her, which was part of the reason why she hadn’t really talked about it with any of her friends. Keeping it a secret wasn’t that hard to do either because everyone was so used to her not showing much interest in others. Sure, if some of the girls that she hung around with were talking about how so and so was cute or had the sweetest personality she might have nodded her head in agreement but she was never one to gush about it. Arthur however, she internally gushed about all the time.
She was a smart girl and though not a cynic, had never thought that the idea of Prince Charmings that were seen in films but that didn’t mean that individuals couldn’t find that special someone that met their standards of a Prince Charming. That was something that Teagan thought was plausible. Their parents seemed to be in love and compatible for one another so it was something that was within everyone’s reach. You just couldn’t be afraid to go after it and be willing to sift through the duds to find that someone. It could be a discouraging process after so many failed relationships but Teagan still thought that if you wanted something you had to go for it. That was probably ironic considering how withdrawn she was and avoidant of risks but for the longest time she hadn’t had the desire to take those steps in her own life. Maybe that was changing though and maybe Arthur wasn’t really the one but everything in her senses was telling her that she should at least see where it took her. Liam would probably be appalled by the idea of it and his opinion mattered to her so much but at what point did you start doing things for yourself?
She understood where Liam was coming from. He never wanted to see her upset and she appreciated it, really she did. It was just that if she was going to live life he couldn’t protect her from everything. She grimaced rolling that truth around in her mind. ”I love that you want to keep me safe from heartache, Liam but don’t you think that those sorts of things make us stronger as people, that we grow from the experiences in our lives?” This wasn’t a conversation that he probably wanted to be having especially if it was going to turn into a debate, which Teagan could feel itching at the tip of her tongue that it might. If it was music that Liam wanted her to focus on then it could still come full circle back to what she was getting at. ”Besides, if I’m focusing on my music and music comes from life experiences then doesn’t it make more sense to get out there that way I actually have something to write about?”

. tell the world i'm coming home . Living your life to the fullest was where many music lyrics came from. The best and greatest songs came from the pain, the thrills, and the joyous moments in ones lives. Liam knew this from his own experiences involving his past. Rather it be from the first girl that broke his heart that led him to pouring his heart and soul to one of his first ever songs. Or it being something on a happier note like his family for instance, and the love they showed him. Each song he wrote he showed his emotion in rather it be painful or happy. Even those songs that were not his own but hit close to him; Liam was the type of singer that people could often could tell he poured his heart into what he was doing. It was clear he loved being up on that stage, singing his heart out for the audience. Yet, trying to protect his siblings still became a day to day process for the boy. Even with Teagan who he knew would be like him when it came to her emotions, writing them out, singing them to herself to ease the pain. It didn't stop him from wanting her to never feel hurt, even if the hurt and suffering was a big part of making music so great, so realistic, and making fans able to connect with you on a much personal level, a way of them saying i've felt this before too.
He had many people come to him after a show expressing how certain lyrics hit their heartstrings just right. The softer melodies caused him to look out into the crowd and every so often, he would see people in the audience with tears in their eyes. He was never one to make people cry but it made parts of him happy to see this because it meant his music moved people. Then he had those songs that made people jump up and down, dancing along with Liam. Every lyric, note, rhythm, and beat effected people in different ways, and moved them. People enjoyed music because almost any mood you were feeling had some song that connected with you at that particular time. Liam felt he had a gift when it came to his voice...and he was so thankful that he could enjoy it with others.
Sighing he ran a hand through his hair, "You're right." he nodded, "It still will never stop me from wanting to protect you. You're my little sister." he gave her a soft smile. "You're growing up much too fast for my heart to take. I bet that's going to be my next set of lyrics I write about," jokingly he told her, half joking really. Liam could honestly, picture himself writing about his siblings growing up. His family was important to him and it would not be the first time he wrote about them. After all music should not only be about love... it should be about life. Family was life. Liam despised those writers that only wrote about love, it was rather...sickening in his opinion. Life was not only about love and heartbreak...and anyone that felt this was truth certainly led a depressing life. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- .

That was the ironic part of all of this, wasn’t it? Teagan was right and she usually was about things because she took the time to think them out, had a good head on her shoulders and wasn’t lacking in common sense like a lot of people tended to these days. So then what was the case here? Was she having a fluke? Was this the one time that all common sense and logic was going out the window on her and her irrationality was flourishing? Or was Teagan once again right and the feelings that she had for the man were completely true? It was so much to take into consideration and it wasn’t something that she could talk about with anyone. Not really. What was she going to do? Bring up hypotheticals, but then of course that would encourage suspicion and would led to trouble.
Maybe the only person she could really talk to about all this was Arthur himself. But what would she say? She hadn’t felt as dejected as she did in that moment in such a long time and having the sensation refreshed wasn’t pleasant. Teagan kept the frown off of her face though not wanting to give Liam the wrong impression. He was telling her how much he cared about her and that would have been an insult to him, which she would never do. Life could be a complicated thing but for someone who was so used to looking the answers up in books, clinging to them for their knowledge, she wasn’t sure that any solution could be found in a book… or could it? Surely there had been someone, somewhere that had gone through something similar to what she was now. Teagan kept that in mind to start her search as soon as she can.
For now though maybe she could put those thoughts aside and focus on her brother. He deserved that, to have her attention. Smiling back at him it was much easier to do when her mind wasn’t so clouded with thoughts of Arthur- though when she was with him he did make her smile so—Teagan mentally cleared her mind getting back to the music discussion. ”I don’t mind being a muse.” Her smile broadened at the thought of it. She didn’t think that she had been in that role for anyone before. After all muses were goddesses and well…Teagan had never saw herself in that kind of light before. ”You’re one of the strongest people I know though. Your heart can take anything and if you think it’s starting to break I’ll just fasten you a band-aid or some super glue, okay?” That would mean he’d have to tell her first, which Teagan did hope he would do without hesitation but something she’d read about the male condition stated that sometimes they needed time to themselves to work out whatever the problem was on their own.

. tell the world i'm coming home . In the reality of everything, Liam was a fragile being who had the need to be accepted in this brutal world. He had a fondness of locking these feelings inside his heart and not allowing people to witness just how weak the man was. If you listened to his music, read his expressions just right that was when he was the most vulnerable because it was one too many times that a fan came to him telling him they could feel the pain, or happiness inside his voice, and his actions. It was something Liam always assumed as a brilliant onstage presence because you wanted the audience to connect with you. Except it did make him very vulnerable so he always tried to make up for it later when he was off the stage. If someone belittled him, he often tried to turn it around and make them feel belittled, or if they harmed his family, he put on the tough guy image. It was far from who Liam really was because in fact, the boy was a very sensitive, happy go-lucky kind of kid at heart. When he was around you and off the stage away from all serious topics, he nearly always had a boyish charm and smile to him. He liked to joke around with people and sometimes even acted slightly immature with others. He often being very gullible too when it came to others and at times even willing to give the shirt off his back. There really was four sides to Liam...the on-stage man that loved what he was doing and showed so much passion for his work. The man in a serious moment not backing down if someone threatened his family; the side that often scared someone, the goofy side aka nice kid from across the block kinda boy, and lastly, who he was right now with Teagan, which was the older protective brother.
"One of my greatest muses you are." smiling at her, he spoke honestly. He had many muses but his family always had been one of them. He had a few songs about his family rather it be his adopted family or the family that left him. The songs about his family were often more joyful and grateful rather than the other family that he did not exactly consider his family were more dark (granted he could not honestly blame his mother for she passed away giving birth but his father…and other relatives, he felt he could.). Liam often spoke as if he never cared about his blood family which he didn't for the most part but as most children did in his situation he sometimes found himself wondering. If anyone ever appeared in his life, again he however could not see himself trying to reconnect. Blood or not his family would always be the Teuiski's because family is not about blood it's where your heart lies and his has always been a Teuiski since he was only a few months old and he was forever grateful for this fact. He often wondered how his life would be different if it wasn't for the Teuiski's and he knew...kids in foster homes had it rough and everyday he thanked his lucky stars for his mom and dad.
"I know I can always trust you with my heart, my one true heart savior. I think you'll need to use both a band-aid and some superglue if my heart ever breaks...ya know just to assure it'll never break again. And, I promise i'll do the same for you pausing he shook his head a bit, "Though I still slightly plan on killing anybody first before they ever hurt you...i'm just saying," he gave off a goofy grin to make that statement more light-hearted. He knew he couldn't scare away all the boys forever, or friends that could potentially hurt her but he could certainly give stiff warning that if anyone harms his baby sister they'll be dealing with a Liam wrath. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- .

Teagan snickered behind her hand over the way he had worded that. He sounded like Yoda, just without the accent or anything too goofy like that. She wondered if he had done that on purpose to suit her dorky interests or if it had just been some kind of accidental slip of the tongue. Whatever the case she was still highly amused by it, maybe even more so than she rightly should have been for a sixteen year old girl- considering, at the moment, she felt like she was ten again. Teagan didn’t think that there was anything particularly wrong with having those regressive, childish moments but it was counter productive to the whole notion she had lately about growing up. High school, and probably life in general- though she confirm that since she hadn’t really started living yet, was full of ups and downs so perhaps there would always be some regression involved with progression.
Still, being someone’s muse for any reason seemed pretty cool to her. It made her feel like she was special in a way and that wasn’t anything that Teagan had the pleasure of experiencing all that often. When it came to her own inspiration Teagan took it wherever she could get it. There were times where she would be reading over a piece of information in her text and her mind simply go off into a tangent, turning whatever she was learning about into a song, which might have been part of the reason why she was able to retain as much information as she did. Obviously, those lyrics wouldn’t turn into the next music sensation on the radio…but maybe had the potential of being an internet hit that people said they hated and yet couldn’t get out of their minds like Rebecca Black’s “Friday”. A grimace passed over her features in a fast here then gone motion, internally deciding that becoming famous like that just wasn’t her cup of tea.
That shouldn’t have even been a question. Of course Teagan could be trusted with his heart. She hoped that when the time came, when she was in a position to cherish someone else’s heart that wasn’t her family, she would be able to do it justice. Teagan loathed the thought of being the cause of someone’s pain but at the same time she couldn’t say that she never would be. There were circumstances, unforeseeable, that prevented her from knowing for sure whether it was possible. She could only do her best. ”That Gorilla glue brand to ensure its strength.” She offered along with a tender smile. Teagan let out a soft laugh. ”Dually noted.” Killing was a bit excessive but she understood both where he was coming from and what he meant by that particular vow. ”What sets are you playing tonight? Anything new or do I get to sing along with all my favorites?”
