Lost, his first day on campus and he'd already managed to get himself turned around. He wasn't sure where he was, but he did know that he'd passed that building before. Somehow Puck had managed to walk around in one big circle after another. The text message from his cousin said to meet her in the Student Lounge, and he was already an hour late. He looked about for someone, anyone he could get directions from, but everyone seemed too busy with their own lives to stop and help some lost little freshman.
Sighing in frustration, he turns about and starts to walk back the way he'd just come from. If the campus was going to be this hard for him to navigate, he couldn't even imagine what the rest of his experience here was going to be like. Looking down towards his pack, he opens it up and starts to dig around, looking for the campus map that they'd given him back in the main office. With a thud of impact, he feels himself reeling, followed by something really cold smooshing against his stomach. Blinking away the confusion, he glances down towards the icecream on his shirt.
" Oh geez, I am so sorry about that Miss. I wasn't paying any attention to where I was going. I was trying to find my map of campus and, I just got distracted- "
While he rambles on, his eyes finally decide to lift up from the mess of ice cream and towards the dark haired girl who had actually been holding the cone. His words fall to a sharp stop, as gulps down his nerves, and shoves his hands into his pockets.
" Hi "

She had football practice in a little bit, and knew that if she didn't get some sort of sugar, she'd never last. Walking out of the cafeteria with a vanilla ice cream cone, she began to lick it, knowing that it was the perfect choice for her.
Feeling uncomfortable in the girls locker room, Ella had been changing in her own room and heading out to practice from there. Sometimes she hated that she was so small, she felt like an easy target, but then remembered a lot of people forgot that she was even there. As she started her walk back to her dorm, she hadn't even been paying attention to where she was going, until she felt someone else come into contact with her and her ice cream.
The ice cream smeared on her face and dripped down on her shirt, while the other person got a nice wet spot on their shirt. She could hear that it was a male that she came into contact with. She could feel her cheeks redden, and she didn't dare look up. She was shocked that he apologized. "No, no, it's my fault. I wasn't watching where I was..."
Dropping the smooshed ice cream cone on the ground between them, Ella looked up at the boy as he said hi. No boy had ever said 'hi' to her. She wanted to turn around and run away, but he had seen her face, and her luck, she'd get stuck in a class with him and then it would be awkward. Half smiling, full on blushing, Ella looked up. "Hi."

Puck found himself a bit dumbstruck, he'd never been good at talking to girls. To make matters worse this girl was beautiful, and like a total dumbass he'd ruined her icecream and her shirt. He could feel the sides of his neck warming as a blush was trying to work it's way up into his cheeks. He wasn't sure what to do, he wanted to run off before making any more of an ass out of himself. On the other hand, he really didn't mind the thought of getting to know the mysterious girl a bit better. Then there was that nagging voice of his Mother as well. He had knocked over the girls icecream, the least he could do was make that up to her. Raking his free hand through his trussled hair, he catches himself staring at her- before quickly diverting his eyes towards the ice cream cone that now laid on the ground between them.
" Er... Could I perhaps buy you another ice cream cone? "
And just like that he forgot all about Posey waiting for him in the student lounge.

She looked at the guy standing in front of her and wanted to ditch practice so bad, but knew that she could get into a lot of trouble if she did. ”I only have twenty minutes til I have to be to practice, maybe after practice?” She didn’t dare tell him that she was on the football team. Most guys just laughed at her when they found out. Perhaps it was just because she was a girl, but she figured it was because of her size.
Lifting the bottom of her shirt up to wipe her mouth and face clean of ice cream, she tilted her head to the side and looked up at the guy. ”Do you play any sports? She had no idea who this guys was, she just hoped that he wasn’t too much of a jock, she found him really cute, but didn’t want to get her hopes up. She could just see him playing nice then ripping out her heart. She wasn’t going to get caught in a lie.

Puck felt his heart sink a little when she started to talk about practice. He should have known better, he was just some akward stranger who had walked into her. He wouldn't be surprised if she thought he was some sort of creep, or stalker, or something. He was about to apologize again and walk off when she started to clean her face off with the bottom of her shirt. In that brief second he managed to catch a glimpse of her stomach, just a little piece but it was enough to get that blush sky rocketing up his neck, and fanning out across his cheeks. Looking away from her quickly, he clears his throat and starts to kick a small rock between his shoes. It took a moment for him to realize that she was still talking to him.
" Sure, the offer is good anytime. Care if I walk with you? I don't really have anything else to do and it might help me learn the campus a bit better. No, not right now anyways I just started here and haven't had a chance to look into any of the sports yet. I think I'm going to take some time away from that and focus on my classes instead though. At my old school I was on the football and cross country teams. "

She had never had a boy actually want to spend time with her. Sometimes she thought people just pitied her and that’s why they’d actually talk to her, not because they enjoyed it. She knew that she was a goofball, and at times a bit clumsy, it made her interesting though. She knew that there was never a dull moment in her life, but she liked that. Nodding to the boy that he could join her, she began to walk back toward the dorms. ”That’s kinda cool, but aren’t you going to miss playing? I know our football team could use some more players.”
Ella was still trying to learn the game, she didn’t know how many were suppose to be on the team, but if this boy would join, then maybe she’d at least have something to look forward to besides kicking the person holding the ball in the nuts. That was one of her greatest accomplishments of the season thus far, it was her way of showing him that she wasn’t going to put up with the nicknames.

Shifting his pack about, he moves it to the other shoulder so that the bulk is no longer hanging between him and Ella as they start to walk together. He didn't want to run the risk of having it knock against her, with all the books he was carrying it could hurt a bit. Besides that more practical reasoning, the thought of having it between them just didn't seem right, he didn't want any sort of barriers. Perhaps it was some sort of sixth sense kicking in, or maybe his New Age parents were rubbing off on him more than he realized, but he couldn't help but feel that there was something about Ella, something very special. When she asks him about joining the football team he shrugs his shoulders.
" Maybe. I guess I'll miss the game and the sport of it. I doubt that I'll miss the social politics that seem to come with being a high school football player though. Those start to get tricky after a while, and you can run yourself out trying to figure out all the unspoken rules. Who knows though, maybe next year I'll be the first one in line for try outs. Of course just because I'm not on the team, that doesn't mean I can't at least come by and watch your practices. "

She decided that she didn’t need to be ‘part of the team’, she just wanted to kick the ball, pretending that it was a different persons head or something else, each time. When Puck continued on and said that he could come by and watch her practices, she felt her cheeks flare up bright red. Was he flirting with her? She had no idea what was going on, but she felt little butterflies in her stomach. She wasn’t sure if it was a good or bad feeling that she was getting, but for some reason, she kind of liked it.
Turning her head to the side so he wouldn’t see her blush, she tried to get a grip, and took in a deep breath, hoping that her cheeks had become less red. Stopping outside of the dorm building, she looked up at the guy and smiled, ”Does that mean you’ll watch practice today and we can get ice cream afterwards?” She was hoping that the answer was yes, she wanted to know more about this mystery guy in front of her. She really didn’t want to go to practice now.

[style=width:400px; height:200px; background-image:url(http://imageshack.us/a/img90/5520/400x250.jpg);] Such sweethearts, and I agree with the phone call.
Puck could feel every nerve in his body, as if they were pressing directly against his skin and being poked with little needles. At least that's what it felt like, but he knew deep down he was just really nervous. He'd never really felt the need to flirt with a girl before, and he wasn't entirely sure if that's what he was doing, or better yet- how he was doing with it. Messy, messy situation. When they come to a stand still out front of the dormitory he glances up towards the door and back towards Ella again. He thought for a brief moment that he'd caught a tiny glimpse of pink on her cheeks.
" Yeah, that sounds great to me. I'll wait here while you get ready, then walk you to practice. "
The nerves didn't get any better while he was waiting on her, and he felt like his tongue weighed a hundred pounds while they walked back towards the football field now. He couldn't think of anything to say, but it felt nice being there, just walking next to her. Once they get to the field and part ways, he goes over to the closest bleacher and plops down on the bottom row. Watching as the team starts their warm ups.

She had never had a boyfriend or let alone real feelings for anyone and she didn’t even know if she wanted them. She hated how lovey-dovey and sappy people were. She didn’t even really like watching the chick flicks on tv, she’d of course rather watch disney or action movies, but she just saw how stupid being in love made people. They always missed good opportunities or found themselves in trouble. The only thing she did have to admit was they did look happy for the most part. She was so confused. She didn’t even know why she was thinking like this in the first place. She had just met the boy, and he’d probably ditch her after replacing her ice cream he owed her.
Feeling the pink on cheeks flush up again, she nodded as she went through the doors to change. Running down the hall to her room, she changed quickly, not wanting him to have to wait long. Pulling her hair up into a high pony she went to roommates dresser and pulled out a boyish looking tshirt and stuffed it in her practice bag.
Heading back outside to see him still standing there, she smiled and walked with him to the field. She had no idea what to say, so she just walked, not wanting to say something stupid. When they got to the field and he sat on the bleachers, she opened up her bag to change into her cleats, pulling out the shirt, she handed it to him with a smile, ”I know it’s not ideal, but I figure that it’s better than sitting with ice cream covered shirt.”
Quickly turning to run to the field, she darted off before he could see her red cheeks. She knew they were bright red, she just hoped her teammates didn’t say anything, although she had a feeling they’d never let her live it down. And she was right. The teasing started nearly away, joking about her new ‘boyfriend’ and ‘doesn’t he know your only twelve’. She could feel the anger growing inside, she just hoped that Puck couldn’t hear anything.
When it came time for field goal practice, she waited for just the right set-up, before she allowed herself to ‘miss the football’ and kick a different ball. As the boy cried in pain, Ella leaned down and whispered, ”He’s not my boyfriend! Quit teasing me!” before she took off in a quick dart toward the bleachers to grab her bag and run. Picking up her bag she looked at Puck. ”We should go.” Looking back at the field, seeing half of the football team turning toward them, she yelled out. ”We should go NOW!”
