Posey Marie Otayek

Posey is a real sweetheart, but she's also a trouble maker. She's got a slight issue with authority figures. Though no real reason to explain why. She enjoys doing practical jokes, and stunts. This leads to her spending more than her fair share of time in the detention halls. She's easy to get along with, she'll give just about anyone a chance- but once you've rubbed her wrong... well she's not the most forgiving person.

Posey is really lacking in friends. She has her best friend/partner in crime Ella, and her cousin Puck (pending I actually create him) who is more like a brother to her than a cousin. She needs all sorts of friends, since she can get along with such a variety of people, this shouldn't be too hard to find one or two for her right?

The Hate

This won't be too hard I imagine, Posey isn't fond of people who use their weight to push around 'lesser' people. So the more ' stuck up ' or ' snobby ' of the students will more than likely find her a thorn in their side. And I'm sure there are other reasons and situations that could arise to find her with a few more less than desirable relationships.

The Romance

There were two brief relationships back in the past though neither of them went anywhere. In the first, the boy simply disappeared... and in the second, he never got around to telling her how he really felt, and revealing himself before the Otayek family moved. No idea what's going to wind up happening here, but I'm open for suggestions.

Bethany Ann Quinn

The History

The Quinns met in film school, both were studying to become directors. After graduation they married and began to tour the world filming animal documentaries. A year into their marriage they were blessed by the arrival of their only child, a daughter who they named Bethany after her mother's grandmother and Ann after her fathers. She spent the first ten years of her life traveling with her parents and being home schooled. It was then that Mr. Quinn decided he wanted more out of life, he wanted to be known and these animal documentaries just weren't doing it. So he went off to Hollywood in hopes of finding more golden pastures- and he did. The temptations were too much for him though and he wound up having an affair- the divorce was peaceful enough, and now he pays a huge chunk of alimony and child support for the girls he left behind.

The divorce did something strange to Bethanys mother, she began to regress. Started to party hard, living high and fast. Bethany stayed with her mother for three more years, until her mom decided to re-marry, a much younger man. Her Mother and "Step Father" then told her that they wanted time, and space to develop their own family, over in California her Father was doing much the same thing. So Bethany was sent to Hadley, Michigan to live with her Grandmother on her Mother's side of the family. Just in time to start her Freshman year at the academy.

It didn't take long for the populars to swallow her alive, due to her money and knowledge of who her father is. She knows they're just using her, and that over ninety eight percent of them are fake friends who don't give a damn about her. Still it's better than being alone all of the time. But it's a huge lie, and she's been living it for the past two years it's left her feeling plastic-like and numb. She wants to find people who will love her for who she is, who she really is and not what her Father might be able to do for them.

Bethany has been attending the school since Freshman year and she's a Junior now. So I'll need some friendships that have been around for all those years. As her history suggests, many of the more snobby, money hungry- or those who want a leg into the acting industry have been using her for a chance to get to meet her Father. But I'd really like her to also meet some friends she can really be herself around. Show her more geeky, nerdy side and let it all hang loose.

The Hate

I'm sure there will be a few people who can hate her, simply because of her position with the 'populars' of the school. Then there will also be those who hate her when she starts to move away from the lies and become more her natural self.

The Romance

She's never had any serious relationships, a few dates but nothing extreme. Love scares her because it makes her think about her parents and who easily that all fell apart. She's going to shy away from romance, and anyone who wants to change that is going to have a task on their hands.

Puck Elvy Otayek

Puck is the polar opposite of his female cousin. He's very athletic, enjoys learning, and doesn't care to cause trouble for anyone. He loves the outdoors, often going off on the weekend for long camping trips, nature hikes, bike trail riding, etc. He spends a lot of his time on campus trying to keep Posey out of trouble, or cleaning up her messes if he didn't get there in time to stop her.

Friendly Faces

Puck loves his cousin, even if she is a total mess. They grew up together, and are more like brother and sister than cousins. Other than her though, he hasn't had a chance to meet anyone since moving to Hadley. I figure he'll get along well with most people, he goes out of his way to be polite and nice to everyone.

The Hate

Hopefully there won't be too much hate coming his way, since I have plenty of that with my other characters. Though I'm sure there are some people out there who will dislike him simply because of Posey.

The Romance

Puck has never been in a romantic relationship, he's had crushes in the past but they've never gone past that. He's usually too shy to admit his feelings for anyone. I do believe at some point he's going to develop a crush on Posey's bestfriend Ella, but I have no idea how far that will go if it will take any shape at all.

Nyssa Erin Vallas

Nyssa is a very loving, easy going, fun sort of person. She loves children, and will do anything in her power to help someone in any sort of need. She's never turned her back on a student- and doesn't plan on starting anytime soon. It is her goal in life to bring a little happiness to the people she meets, and if she doesn't get you to crack at least one smile before you leave her company, she feels as if she's failed.

Friendly Faces

I think it will be easier for Nyssa to consider students as friends, rather than a lot of the people closer to her own age. However, I would like some grown up friends for her too.

The Hate

Of course there is always going to be someone out there who doesn't like you, just because you're you. So I'm sure one or more of you could find a reason for your character(s) to dislike this bubbly teacher.

The Romance

I think it might be fun, if she ends up having some sort of secret romance with one of her students. But he would have to at least be a senior. And I suppose that couldn't last. Crushes would be fun to deal with. I'm not really sure what or who I want for her final so I'm all open to any ideas you may have.

POSEY&&COHEN Part of me can see these two getting along and maybe Cohen would call on her if he wanted help getting back at someone, and they could probably get into a lot of trouble together. But the other part of me thinks that she would probably hate him. He's a little bit arrogant and he's popular and well liked, probably things that she wouldn't really like. All up to you really.

I can see them becoming instant friends. Scotland is a trouble maker as well. They'd click very nicely. He'd probably see her as a younger sister he can do stupid shit with, protect her if she got into /actual/ trouble, be like a bodyguard sort of...? Meh, i dunno~

As much as I'd love to have at least one character be friends with one of yours. I'm not sure if this one will work. With the whole thing of Chelsie and Posey being arch enemies. If I've snooped about and read everything right- the two of them have an interesting relationship/storyline going on right now and they're really close? But then I was thinking, once the whole thing with Chelsie and Emma's dad comes out... Then maybe Emma and Posey could have a chance at becoming possible friends? Depending on how Emma reacts to the whole thing- Posey would be more than happy to help her dish out a little torture if she needs that to move on. Yeah, those are my mid-morning rambles.

Yep, again I see her being well off his radar. She wouldn't think anything of him one way or another. Unless she found out about the whole other thing. Even then though, it would be disdain and she might think he's somehow broken or cracked.

I can see her needing a new best/close friend since she will be losing Chelsie as a friend, I can definitely see Emma accepting Posey's help in dishing out payback on Chelsie. So for now they will be enemies.

That is true since I don't think Posey would really talk to James when the whole James/Chelsie affair comes out in the open. Not sure if Posey would do this but maybe her and James could have a one night stand and that could be why Posey and Chelsie becomes arch enemies and Chelsie could see James leaving Posey's home or maybe Chelsie could see James and Posey kissing each other. If she wouldn't do either of them then it is fine with them not talking with each other.

Fake friends! Chelsie would have been a junior when Bethany was a freshman so I can see her getting wind of who her father is and taking Bethany under her wing. She would have pushed for her to be popular even though I dont see these two having anything in common. Since Chelsie has now graduated maybe they kind of lost touch a little, but now that Chelsie is unhappy being a waitress she may try and rekindle the fake friendship so she can have a connection to hollywood?

Oh yes, these two would be the snarky friend sort of deal. I can see Posey and Margaret butting heads a lot, but also just being normal people together, complaining about 'the man' and how some of Posey's jokes went haywire or something. Now Teu's a senior, but they would've met in Drama and I can see Teu taking more of a 'motherly' side to the freshman, trying to make sure her head is on straight and caring for her, but at the same time having fun, remembering that it's more than just the clubs and the sports and the blogging, that she can actually have fun too. (And Posey can land Teu in her first detention or something) Thoughts? Y/N?

Anyway, you said you'd need a friend to kind of geek out with and for her to be normal around, well, Teu would be that girl. Teu is a year older, but I don't see that as an obstacle for these two if Bethany overcame her resistance in fake friends and found solace in Teu. Teu would just be happy to know that one of the populars isn't crazy like the rest (she's on that edge herself of being there, since she's so involved). Teu herself if PLENTY nerdy-hipsterishtypething, so in that sense, I think they'd be a good fit. I could see a lot of 'therapeutic' stress relieving times of popping balloons or shouting off of rooftops or just generally being goofballs. Plus they both hate thunderstorms. Just sayin'. Thoughts? Y/N?

Of course, Zach's probably going to know about Bethany's social standing, and that would put him off from the very start, but I feel like if they get to know each other, it'd give them both a chance to like...geek out together. I think that all sounds fantastic, Posey definitely needs someone like Teu in her life. I doubt it would do much to change her, and she might nag about her a bit, but she'd feel a special place in her heart for the one she will most likely end up dubbing her ' Mama Chick ' even if she never calls Teu that to her face. I also see some sort of serious trouble, or something really bad happening and Teu being the person she runs to. As far as landing her in detention for the first time ever- she'd love it, and maybe throw her a party afterwards.

That's exactly the sort of thing I was wanting for her, so that's perfect. Hopefully Teu might be able to really help Bethany get herself out of that rut and realize it's okay to be herself and not having to worry about being left behind all the time. Maybe she could be the first person that Bethany opens up to about her parents, and why she's been living the way she has the past few years. And you know, we're going to have to get them trapped somewhere very stupid and suffer through a thunder storm.

It doesn't sound stupid at all! I think it's a wonderful idea a slow blossoming sort of friendship. They might not hit it off right away, but that just adds to the fun right. I'm sure as time goes on the two of them could be really great friends and yes total geek outs are in order.
